A hoon has had his motorcycle impounded after being clocked speeding at almost 100km/h over the speed limit in Ravenhall.
The Altona man was spotted by officers from the Melton Highway Patrol travelling at high speed on the Western Highway at Ravenhall around 5.20pm on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old slowed down when he saw the marked police car but pursuing officers following the rider for about one kilometre clocked him travelling at 195km/h in a 100km/h zone.
Police arrested the man and impounded his motorcycle after he exited the highway at Robinsons Road.
