Firearm counts for Caroline Springs, Keilor Downs men

Police have arrested two men over firearms offences as part of a crime operation in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.

Detectives from the Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit intercepted the men, from Caroline Springs
and Keilor Downs, in a vehicle on Warrigul Road about 11pm last Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Caroline Springs man was charged with firearm offences and appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates Court last Thursday morning.

The 29-year-old Keilor Downs man is expected to be charged on summons for similar offences.

The men were arrested after an operation targeting recidivist offenders following a crime spree in
Stonnington.
