Future focus

Have your say on the future use of Brimbank council’s Keilor office building.

A community engagement officer is available to attend group meetings or for one-on-one discussions. Consultation will also take place at the Keilor Village shops from 10am to 2pm on May 10 and noon to 5.30pm on May 14.

History group

Keilor Historical Society holds its next monthly meeting at 7pm on Wednesday, May 14, in the upstairs community meeting room of Brimbank council’s Keilor offices. New members and visitors welcome.

Brimbank arts plan

Local artists are being encouraged to share their ideas and help shape the direction of arts and cultural projects in Brimbank. Consultation on the council’s draft cultural strategy (2015-20) is now open. A forum will be held at Overnewton Castle, Keilor, from 6-9pm on May 7.

Parents Without Partners

The Keilor branch has its next dance on Friday, May 16, at the ICKA Club,
7 Keilor Park Drive, East Keilor. Doors open 7.30pm. Guests: $10, members $5. No T-shirts, jeans or sneakers.

Neighbourhood House Week

Neighbourhood Houses in the north-west hosts free activities during Neighbourhood House Week (May 5-10). There will be herb garden workshops, henna art, tai chi and meditation, personal safety sessions for seniors, sing-alongs, morning teas and healthy-cooking demonstrations. At Hillside Community
Centre, Taylors Hill Youth and Community Centre and Stevenson House, Caroline
Springs.

entry into the 2014 VDL awards.
