Teen activities

Secondary school students can be picked up from locations in Caroline Springs and Taylors Hill for Melton City Council’s teenage holiday program which includes horse riding, an excursion to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Galactic Circus, bowling, laser tag and tobogganing. Cost ranges from $10 to $30.

School holiday fun

The Caroline Springs library will run a school holiday program including a movie afternoon, Lego activities, make your own stuff craft activities, Loom Band workshops and a NAIDOC storytime. Entry for all activities requires a ticket which can be collected from the service desk one week before the start of the holidays.

Hip-hop

Free hip-hop dancing classes are run every Friday from 4-5pm for the month of June at the Delahey Community Centre. Classes are open to 8-18 year olds.

Free hearing information

Isis Primary Care, St Albans, provides free information about hearing loss, tinnitus, hearing aid management, assistive listening devices for TV and telephones on the third Tuesday of each month between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, courtesy of Vicdeaf. Appointments are necessary.

Stitch in time

A series of free knitting and crochet workshops will be held at the Delahey Community Centre, every Monday from 12.30-2pm until July 7.

Each session starts with a story-telling session by a Wurundjeri Elder. All materials are supplied.
