GLENROY: Siege ends after four hours

A man has been taken into custody following a four-hour siege in Glenroy today.
 
Police were called to a house in Glenroy around midday.
 
A woman is reportedly in hospital with minor stab wounds.
 
A Victoria police spokesperson said the man gave himself up after police negotiated with him inside his home.    
 
“Police arrested a 44-year-old man after a siege in Glenroy today,” she said.
 
“He surrendered himself to police shortly after 4pm. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.”
