Former state swimmer Monica Lavcanski made the leap from swimming to swimwear modelling earlier this year and hasn’t looked back.
The Taylors Lakes 16-year-old is competing in this year’s Magnificent Miss competition, which will showcase the talents of the entrants and support HeartKids Australia.
“I love taking part in pageants because it allows me to do something for myself and the community,” she says.
“I love a challenge and this year has been full of new opportunities, which I want to use to my advantage.”
