Caroline Springs: Be in the driver’s seat to resolve motor mysteries

For women who want to know how to change a tyre or jump-start a car, this one’s for you.

Brimbank police are joining with Lakeside Hyundai in Caroline Springs to host a Women in Motion session at which mechanics will show women how to perform basic car maintenance.

The July 24 workshop will include changing tyres, checking oil and water levels, and jump-starting, as well as issues around vehicle crime and road laws.

Leading Senior Constable Matthew Mudie said the workshop was aimed at women from multicultural communities, giving them more confidence on the road.

Leading Senior Constable Mudie joined Lakeside Hyundai service manager Steven Daly last week to explain car mechanics to Raj Kaur.
