Mekong reminder

Construction has started on a new $13.5 million aged-care centre in Cairnlea. Members of the Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association (IERA) last week broke ground on what will become the Brimbank Vietnamese Aged Care Centre. The centre will include 60 single bedrooms with connecting private en suites, with space to add another 40 beds as the centre grows. The Cairnlea site was bought by the IERA in 2010 and will be modelled on its Mekong Aged Care Service in Keilor East. … Charlene Macaulay
