PORT MELBOURNE: Ablett snr, Ricky Nixon trade blows

Football legend Gary Ablett snr and controversial AFL agent Ricky Nixon reportedly came to blows in a Melbourne laneway on Wednesday afternoon.

A fight broke out between the pair in a lane near Nixon’s Port Melbourne home, radio station 3AW reported.

Ablett, 52, had been staying with Nixon, 51, while the disgraced player agent helped negotiate a tell-all television interview, it was reported.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Clair White confirmed police were called to a dispute between two men in Port Melbourne on Wednesday.

“Two men aged in their 50s were involved in a confrontation on Kyme Place at around 1.25,” she said.

“Police spoke to all parties, who declined any further police action.”

Kyme Place runs behind the Bay Street address listed on Nixon’s sports management business website.

Nixon appeared to respond to reports of the tussle via Twitter on Wednesday night, tweeting: “1. Crap. 2. Crap… next question,” and “I told him in no uncertain terms if he didn’t clean up his room he is grounded #SuchANaughtyBoy.”
