Jhett Ramsey was one of two Sunshine Heights players to write himself into the record books on Saturday, breaking a record set by his father in 2017.
Neil Hariman and Jhett put on a 147 run partnership for Sunshine Heights in the club’s second last match of the season in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Clark Shield.
The partnership is the biggest in the club’s A-Turf history.
The previous record had been set by Luke Simpson and Shane Ramsey in 2017 when the pair put on 140.
“A special full-circle moment for the club,” Sunshine Heights said on social media.
“Jhett Ramsey, son of Shane Ramsey, now features in the record books himself after his dad held the mark back in 2017.
“Three eras. One club. Generations of excellence at the top of the order.
“A proud achievement and another chapter added to A-Turf history.”
Sunshine Heights beat Seabrook, its third win of the season.
The win keeps Sunshine Heights hopes of avoiding relegation alive.
It faces Werribee Centrals in a one-dayer on Saturday to finish the season.
