Weekend activities

Brimbank residents looking to get involved with the community this weekend can attend two events hosted by the Horseshoe Bend community group (HSBCG).

The group will run a working bee at Horseshoe Bend Reserve, 113 Horseshoe Bend Main Drive, Keilor from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, August 16.

There, local green thumbs will have the opportunity to plant seeds, prune fruit trees, weed, mulch and mow.

Morning tea will also be provided.

Those looking to shop rather than garden can meet the community group at Keilor Village Shopping Centre to buy local raw honey, plants and tickets for HSBCG’s annual raffle from 9am to 12pm on Saturday, August 16.
