A school bus caught fire on Melton Highway, near Kings Road, at Taylors Hill on Thursday afternoon June 5 after a mechanical related failure.
Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes, according to a Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson.
“Crews swiftly extinguished the flames and the incident was deemed under control by 2.07pm. About 50 passengers were evacuated from the vehicle… there were no reported injuries,” the spokesperson said.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene.
