Daylight robbery

Police are seeking information after a man was robbed in broad daylight in Sunshine. On March 21, the man was walking down Hampshire Road about 8.30am when two men took his bank card and demanded his pin. They then made three transactions at an ATM on Hampshire Road before fleeing. Police have released images of two men, described as of Pacific Islander appearance, who they believe may be able to help with their inquiries. Classes aim for safer community

Community Safety Month will be recognised in Brimbank and Melton in October, with a host of events focusing on road safety, personal safety and community well-being. Taylors Hill Neighbourhood House will host a non-accredited first aid class to teach basic resuscitation and first aid skills on October 6 from 6-9pm. Stevenson House in Caroline Springs will hold its non-accredited class on October 14 from 6-9pm, while Hillside Community Centre will hold a first aid class for children on October 22, from 4-5.30pm. An accredited training session for first aid management of anaphylaxis and asthma – and a scooter safety clinic – will be held at Taylors Hill Neighbourhood House on October 23, while Caroline Springs library hosts a free ‘Dementia and Driving’ information session on October 14, from 10am- 12.15pm.
