A group of former St Bernadette’s students went back in time on Friday night for a 50 year school reunion.
Members of the class of 1974 from the North Sunshine school caught up on the what had happened since and all the good times.
There were 22 former students in attendance with the reunion going late into the night.
Organiser Mary Debrincat said they are all Facebook friends and get along incredibly well. The group also had a 49 year school reunion last year where 37 former students attended.
“We shared our life’s experiences, and enjoyed reminiscing about the great times at school, all our teachers, and the things we got up to whilst growing up,” she said.
“Our teacher, Sr Esther Debono, who’s just turned 88 years old was unable to attend due to health issues, and was incredibly disappointed, and very apologetic. But we surprised her by Facetiming her and she was very grateful as I passed my phone around whilst everyone got to speak with her.
“The class of ‘74 are a really beautiful, caring and loving bunch of people, who I’m privileged and honoured to call my friends, and I’m very proud of them all.
