Man charged following Braybrook collision

A 48-year-old Braybrook man has been charged following a collision in Braybrook on Tuesday, September 26 in which two young children were injured.

Police laid charges of dangerous driving cause serious injury, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving whilst unlicensed, careless driving and driving in a dangerous manner on Wednesday, September 27.

He was charged and bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

The charges follow a collision where it’s alleged a Toyota Prado collided with two parked cars in a rear laneway between Wirraway Ave and Liberator Lane about 5.20pm.

It’s alleged the Prado then struck two young children, who were playing in the laneway, before hitting another parked car.

An eight-year-old boy was pinned between the vehicles before being removed by emergency services.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
