Police appealing for information about Sydenham robbery

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a service station in Sydenham last month.

Investigators have been told a man arrived at the service station on Melton Highway on a Dualtron Eagle electric scooter just after 2am on March 27.

He was wearing black jacket, pants, gloves, shoes and helmet. The man was carrying a black backpack.

Police said the man produced what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money.

He then sped off on a scooter after stealing undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The man is believed to be a caucasian and is approximately between 30 to 40-years-old.

Investigators have released images and CCTV footage.
