Ammar El Kerdi and Billy Osman, of Kealba Fresh Fruit, Veg and Nuts, know better than most that fresh is best when it comes to fruit and vegetables.

Owners Ahmed Hawli and wife Emnah Elhawli opened the business earlier this year, and it is managed by Ammar and Billy, who have worked in the produce industry for 18 years.

Kealba Fresh Fruit, Veg and Nuts supplies the best quality fruit and vegetables direct to the public, as well as wholesale to commercial businesses.

And it’s off to a flying start with restaurants across Melbourne already choosing to source fresh produce regularly from the store.

The business also supplies schools, kindergarten and daycare centers around Victoria.

“Our prices are the lowest compared to our competitors and our delivery is free when restaurants and schools make an order,” Ammar says.

He attributes the success of the business to having a qualified and hard-working team.

“We have well-trained staff who are kind and friendly and know our products inside out. They are always willing to help. Our management practice is very professional and we look after all our employees’ well-being.
