The state government has announced that organisations supporting veterans and their families, such as those in Brimbank, can apply for a range of wellbeing grants.
Veterans acting minister Ros Spence announced that organisations can apply for funding through the Anzac Day Proceeds Fund and the Victoria Remembers grant programs.
“Veterans give so much for this state and this country – it’s vital we ensure they are supported in every facet of their civilian life and that their sacrifice is remembered for generations to come,” Ms Spence said.
The ANZAC Day Proceeds Fund supports ex-service organisations to deliver a range of activities that can boost the wellbeing of the state’s veteran community.
Grants of up to $150,000 are available to organisations that provide state-wide services to veterans and their families, and grants of up to $50,000 to those that provide area or region-specific services.
The state government says Ex-service organisations, local government authorities and not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to apply.
Applications for both grant programs will close on Monday, August 22.
