It seemed somewhat appropriate that 22 births would occur at Western Health’s Joan Kirner Hospital on February 2, 2022.
Hospital staff were kept busy helping mothers deliver their infants on the seemingly auspicious date.
With two sets of twins among the new arrivals, there were 24 babies born who share the birthdate 2/2/2022.
Ranjeet Singh and Tejpreet Kaur from Strathtulloh welcomed a yet to be named baby boy at 10.21pm.
“I’ve never really had a favourite number before but now I do – two,“ Mr Singh said.
“We’re really happy that it worked out this way because our son has a very unique birth date. He wasn’t due on this date, but as it got closer we started thinking it might happen this way.
“Our son is doing really well. We’re very excited to have had our first child.”
Jessica Taylor and Shaun Straka welcomed baby Maverick Straka at 2.20am.
