Keilor Thunder has added some familiar faces to its inaugural National Basketball League 1 South teams.
Having announced many of their big recruits, the Thunder has announced the re-signings of some key players from last season’s Big V teams.
Joel Bellman and Bol Bak are back for the men’s team.
Bellman is a Keilor junior and has been an integral part of the club’s senior program for seven seasons.
The club on their Facebook said that they are looking forward to Bellman being a role model to the younger players.
Bok Bak returns to the Thunder for a second season, having impressed the coaching staff.
“He is athletic, creative and a menace in 1v1 defensive situations,” the club said on Facebook.
“Bol is exciting to watch, and we hope to see his constant improvement on and off the floor throughout the season.”
They join Matt Spencer, Carlo Camp, Kian Dennis, Tyler Kidd, Abiola Akintola, Luke Sist and Jacob Lampkin as signings for the men’s team.
On the women’s side Bianca Babic and Ally Keating are returning.
Babic, who is known for her three-point shooting, also brings with her strength, composure and experience which will be vital to supporting our younger players on and off the court.
Ally Keating is returning for her third season at the Thunder.
“Ally brings to the court natural aggression and hunger for the ball,” the club said. “She is an all-rounder and will continue to have an impact at both ends this season.”
Amy O’Hara, Hailey Wynd, Monique Andriuolo, Chloe Hildebrand, Aneta Bandilovska and Ellen Kett are the other signings announced.
