Five-year-old twins Thanvi and Thanya (pictured) are among the 1000s of pupils about to start their school journeys.
The two girls have been excitedly waiting for the classes to start and take the opportunity to make new friends at Newbury Primary School.
Their mum, Gayathri said as well as making new friends, the girls were excited to get their school books and Ipads.
The family is part of the North West Multiple Birth Club
“They are really excited about making new friends,” she said.
“They’ve been in childcare in Tullamarine four four years, so everything is going to be new for them going to school.
“We’ve decided to separate them, so they’ll get to experience going to different classrooms and make their own set of friends.”
