Natural rummaging areas, improved surfacing, a dry creek and digging pit are proposed as part of upgrades to the Green Gully Reserve off-leash enclosed dog park.
Brimbank council is seeking community feedback on its draft design concept of the Keilor Downs park.
The proposed concept has been designed to provide an attractive and inviting dog park for
pets and their owners to visit and play with plenty of open space and improved facilities.
The draft plan includes an enlarged run-about area with a separate area for small and shy dogs, dog waste bag dispensers, bins and signage, improved surfacing, dry creek, digging pit, rocks and logs for sensory play, new pathways, signage, seating and new landscaping with tree plantings for biodiversity and more shade.
Brimbank mayor Jasmine Nguyen said this is a great opportunity to provide improved facilities and better open spaces for pets and their owners to socialise.
“We want to encourage residents to have their say on the dog park design and help us create
more usable, well-designed open spaces for local communities.”
Feedback is open until February 18.
An in person session will be held at Green Gully Reserve Dog Park on Saturday February 12 10am and noon.
