Melbourne Aces fans will have the chance to see their side in action this month in a three game series with the Adelaide Giants.
With the Australian Baseball League season called off due to the pandemic, the matches provide fans with the first the opportunity to see their team this season.
The teams will play for the Melbourne Challenge cup.
The two teams haven’t played each other since early 2020 when the Aces defeated the Giants in the Claxton Shield final.
Aces great Darryl George said he was excited to get back out there playing again.
“With all Covid has thrown at us, just to get out there in front of our awesome fans is the best Christmas present anyone could give me.”
The Aces roster will be led by manager Peter Moylan and will be made up of local ABL talent, from longtime fan favorites to up-and-coming future stars.
The matches will be played on January 7, 8 and 9.
