The Melbourne Knights have announced their first new signing for next year’s National Premier League season.

Anthony Frangie is making the move down from Sydney to join the Knights.

He had been playing for the Marconi Stallions in recent seasons in the New South Wales NPL competition, after making his senior debut in 2017 as a 19-year-old with Hakoah Sydney City East.

Frangie is a known goal scorer.

The 24-year-old forward told the Melbourne Knights website he was after a change of scenery,

“I looked into the club and saw that it has a rich history and I wanted to be a part of building their future success,” he said.

“I also really like [Steve] Bebic’s’ playing style and believe it will suit me well moving forward.

“I want to be a team player. I want to score as well as assist with as many goals as I can. I want to bring home all and any trophies there are. I want to bring success to the club and myself.”
