A Sunshine man has been charged with a number of offences after police intercepted his vehicle on Sunday.
Police intercepted the man’s vehicle on Swanston Street about 9am, after spotting the man using a mobile phone while driving.
The driver of the car, who appeared substance affected, was also found to be a disqualified driver.
A subsequent search of the 43-year-old’s car uncovered in excess of $26,000 cash, liquid believed to be 1, 4 butanediol (GHB), drug paraphernalia, a quantity of alleged prescription drugs and a number of documents believed stolen.
The man was arrested and later charged with trafficking and possessing a drug of dependence, possessing proceeds of crime, making or producing a fake document and traffic related offences.
He is set to appear in court today.
