Brimbank breaks through 90 per cent barrier

More than 90 per cent of Brimbank residents over the age of 15 have received their first COVID-19 vaccine.

Brimbank broke through the 90 per cent barrier in the last week, with 90.4 per cent of residents over the age of 15 having received at least one dose as of Monday.

That’s an increase of 1.4 per cent on the previous Monday.

There was bigger growth in the second vaccine rate in Brimbank, with 75.5 per cent of people aged 15 and over more vaccinated.

This is up 7.1 per cent on the previous week.

Meanwhile in Melton, more than 95 per cent of residents aged 15 and over have received at least one dose.

The number of people who received their second dose last week, jumped 8.3 per cent, with 80.7 per cent of people over 15 fully vaccinated.
