Late night shopping is on the agenda tomorrow at Watergardens Shopping Centre.
With restrictions easing at 6pm on Friday, shops within the centre are wasting no time in reopening.
The centre will be open from 6pm until midnight, before reopening from 8am to 7pm on the Saturday and between 9am and 6pm on Sunday.
Watergardens centre manager Trish Gardiner said the centre was excited to welcome customers and retailers back following a difficult extended lockdown period.
“While we continue to adhere to our COVID safe practices, we are thrilled to be able to welcome back customers and a great number of our retailers who are able to reopen from tomorrow – the Watergardens community is certainly brimming with positivity,” Ms Gardiner said.
“We hope these extended trading hours give our customers greater flexibility when planning their visit and provide our retailers with ample opportunity to get their businesses back up and running.
“We know that this extended lockdown period has been a difficult time for both customers and retailers, and we are excited to welcome our community back to the centre when restrictions ease tomorrow.”
Retailers such as Kmart, Big W, Rebel, Salt & Pepper, YD, Mecca Maxima and Strandbags are among those that are set to have reopening specials.
Ms Gardiner said that while Watergardens is excited to welcome customers back, the centre’s commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of its entire community remains unwavering.
“To protect our customers, our retailers and our staff, we continue to uphold a number of robust measures designed to help mitigate infection transmission risk,” she said.
“These measures include our stringent cleaning processes, provision of permanent hand sanitiser stations throughout the centre, close work with our retail partners to ensure they are following their COVID Safety Plans, and a signage package reminding our customers to play their part in keeping our community safe.”
