Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist following a collision with a van in Ardeer on Thursday afternoon.
Police have been told the collision, between a Hilux refrigerated van and the motorcyclist, occurred at the intersection of Ballarat Road and Esmond Street about 5.30pm.
The male rider died at the scene and his female passenger was taken to hospital with suspected critical injuries.
The female driver of the van has been taken to hospital for treatment.
