Need to clean out your house or shed, but don’t know where to take your items that are too big or too good to throw out?
The Pop-Up Drive Through and Recycling Day’ at Victoria University in St Albans on March 20 could be your answer.
Brimbank residents can safely and conveniently drop-off their unwanted household items, for reuse or recycling.
Brimbank council is partnering with local charity organisations, including the West Welcome Wagon, to donate and reuse unwanted household items, including mattresses, white goods, electronic items and bicycles.
Asbestos, construction waste, chemicals, biological waste, sharps, broken monitors, fluorescent tubes and smoke detectors will not be accepted.
There is a maximum of eight items per household. Only cars, small vans or cars with trailers will be able to drop off items, no trucks or commercial quantities allowed.
To keep the event COVIDSafe you will be required to bring identification (driver’s licence or rate notice) and register onsite. You will also need to wear a face mask and remain in your vehicle at all times.
Bookings are preferred and the council can be contacted on 9249 4000.
The event runs from 8am to 1pm, with entry into the university is through Willis Street.
