Carols at the Castle

Brimbank council will host the annual Carols at the Castle from 5pm on Sunday, December 21, at Overnewton Castle, Keilor. Tickets are $10 for families of five and $5 for singles. Proceeds from their sale go to the Brimbank Community Fund.

Christmas tree fundraiser

The Lions Club of Sunshine will sell Christmas trees at Bunnings in Sunshine on December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21. All trees will be freshly cut the afternoon before they are offered for sale at $60.

Orchestra for the kids

The children’s orchestra Mozartini Orchestra will perform Christmas music at CS Square shopping centre on December 6, Keilor shopping centre on December 7 and 14, Watergardens Town Centre on December 13 and Brimbank shopping centre from December 20-23.

Volunteers needed

The Multiple Sclerosis Community Visitors Scheme is seeking volunteers to join its program in the western metropolitan area. Volunteers are required to visit elderly residents in aged-care facilities.

Young parents

Are you a parent aged 16 to 25 wanting to meet other young parents in your area, take your children on outings and have them share in fun children’s activities? Free groups meet in Laverton on Mondays from 10am-11.30am, Altona Meadows on Mondays from 1pm-2.30pm, and Sunshine on Fridays from 12.30-2.30pm.

Keep Fit at U3A Brimbank

Join our free exercise class for residents 50 and older each Tuesday from 9.30-10.30am at Westvale Community Centre. Classes include basic exercise, Pilates and yoga.
