He might not have the experience of his contemporaries, but Ardeer based lawyer Daniel Dalli is weaving a formidable CV.
Mr Dalli has been named as a finalist in the Australian Law Awards in the Partner of the Year category.
Making the achievement all the more remarkable is that Mr Dalli only became a partner of his family law firm, Aston Legal Group, in August 2019.
“My business partner, Adrian started the firm a number of years ago… we’d known each other for a number of years and he’s asked me to come on board a number of times over those year,“ Mr Dalli said.
“I toyed with the idea a lot, but never took the leap… then last year we spoke, I decided I was ready and came across.
“I was a bit tentative at first, but this past year has been some of my happiest days in law.“
He said the award nomination was vindication for taking the leap of faith.
“It’s been a massive surprise… I was initially nominated for the award and invited to make a submission about my achievements over the past 12 months.
“So I spoke about how I’d helped grow business to be in position where with COVID-19 we were easily able work remotely, my work with the Brimbank Business Association and my pro bono family law work.
“They rang me up to interview me a short while later, telling me I was one of 10 finalists out of a field of 350-400.“
While chuffed with the nomination, Mr Dalli said he’s happy just to be nominated.
