Undefeated Keilor through to the VTCA T20 finals

Keilor secured its spot in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association T20 finals on Tuesday night.

Needing a win against Airport West St Christophers, the Blues came away with the points comfortably.

Airport West elected to bat and made 9-99 from its 20 overs.

The Blues shared the wickets around with all five bowlers picking up at least one wicket.

Nasir Malik, Nilanka Premaratne and Callum Guest took two wickets apiece.

The Blues got off to a solid start with the bat, before starting to lose frequent wickets, to be 4-48.

The Blues lost just one more wicket, on the way to 5-103.

Skipper Kaushal Lokuarachchi top scored with 27 not out.

The win sees Keilor finish atop the Bradman group undefeated.

St Albans finished second with two wins, after beating PEGS on Tuesday night.

PEGS made 9-107 from its overs, which St Albans reached with ease, finishing 1-110 with four overs remaining.

The Blues were one of the last teams through to the finals, with many teams finishing their matches last month.

Among those to already qualify for finals was Sunshine United and Sunshine which were also undefeated.

Other finalists include Doutta Stars, Yarraville Club, West Coburg, Royal Park-Brunswick, Williamstown Imperials, Maribyrnong Park St Marys, Sunbury, Gellibrand, Point Cook and Footscray United.

The highest ranked three other teams from across the board will also make it through to the finals.
