Federal MP on the move
A federal Labor politician is setting up shop at Keilor Downs. Calwell MP Maria Vamvakinou is due to move to a new electorate office at the Keilor shopping centre this week from her previous location near the Broadmeadows train station and across Pascoe Vale Road from the Hume Council offices. Ms Vamvakinou said she made the decision to relocate following changes to electoral boundaries in 2013. The seat of Calwell covers parts of Brimbank and Hume. She said the new office, at shop M0004, Keilor shopping centre, 80 Taylors Road, Keilor Downs, would be “more central”.
