The Sunshine Art Spaces Gallery’s first exhibition for 2015, Perspectives: Past, Present and Future, is now open at 2 City Place, Sunshine. The exhibition runs until February 22.

Sustainable living expo
Find out about bush tucker or take a ride on the Bike ’n’ Blend at the Brimbank Sustainable Living Expo on February 21, 10am-3pm, at Westvale Community Centre. Costa Georgiadis from Gardening Australia will be there; see a bee hive in action; ‘up-cycle’ your clothes at the REthink REfashion Café; or bring along excess vegetables for a community garden vegie swap. MADGE (Mothers are Demystifying Genetic Engineering) will talk about the importance of seed diversity, and there are nifty natural tricks to learn at the DIY cleaning demo as well as lots of eco-kids activities, all free of charge.

Bus service for widows
Bus company CDC Victoria runs a free bus service that gives a group of Brimbank widows the chance to visit their relatives at Keilor cemetery. The service runs on the first Tuesday of every month, except November, picking up passengers from the St Albans Market.

Volunteers needed
The Multiple Sclerosis Community Visitors Scheme needs volunteers to join its program in the western metropolitan area. Volunteers are required to visit elderly residents in aged-care facilities to offer companionship once a fortnight. Volunteers who can speak other languages, especially Spanish, are also needed.
