St Albans East Primary school will soon have bigger and better classrooms.
St Albans MP Natalie Suleyman visited the school last week to announce $8.7 million funding to build a new permanent modular building.
Ms Suleyman said it’s a major win for the St Albans community.
“We’re ensuring local students have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and every child is given every chance to succeed.
“Local families will soon enjoy great new facilities at St Albans East Primary School.”
St Albans East Primary School principal Paul Busuttil said it’s more than just a building.
“This funding will change the lives of our students and community,” he said.
The funding was allocated in this year’s state government budget as part of a $5.6 billion commitment to upgrade 1400 school buildings and fund about 14 new schools scheduled to open by 2021.
Victoria University Secondary College is also set to benefit with $23.95 million allocated to deliver a science tech engineering arts maths building, a learning village building, a performing arts building, and a food building.
