Brimbank Shopping Centre has unveiled its newest attraction, which is bound to excite the younger members of the community.
The centre celebrated the opening of its new children’s playground earlier this month with a day full of music and activities.
Centre manager Linda Vella said it was a fantastic day of family fun.
“The opening of a new kids’ playground at Brimbank is a big deal for our littlest guests so we wanted to mark the occasion with something to make them, and their families smile,” she said.
“It was a full day of fun stuff for the kids, including roving entertainment, face-painters, kids’ activities and even a silent disco.”
The new playground brings a touch of the sensory with a double-sided touchscreen featuring interactive and engaging games; a colourful, light reactive slide; a magical owl-shaped kaleidoscope mask; and balance testing ‘boinks’ – bouncy, sound-reflective pods.
However that wasn’t the only thing celebrated. The event also marked the introduction of a new Kids Club, which will provide children and their caregivers with access to special events, offers and giveaways.
The initiative will be rolled out over the coming months and is part of a raft of things on offer for the centre’s younger visitors this winter.
In the coming weeks the centre will also start a program of free interactive workshops especially designed to let young imaginations run wild.
