Man dies following St Albans hit and run

A 78-year-old St Albans man has died following a hit and run  in St Albans last night.

Police have been told that the man was struck by a vehicle near the corner of Main Road East and Erica Avenue about 9pm.

A passer-by called emergency services but the man died at the scene.

The vehicle did not stop to render assistance and is yet to be located.

Investigators have released images and CCTV footage of three cars seen in the Main Road area at the time of the crash and wish to speak to the drivers of those vehicles.
