Rockbank: Western Freeway roadworks cause delay

Drivers can expect up to 30 minutes’ delays on the Western Freeway, between Troups Road North and Hopkins Road in Rockbank, for the next two months.

As part of the Victorian government’s Road Restoration Package, VicRoads will be undertaking $2.5 million worth of road improvement works on the freeway between January and February.

While road resurfacing works are carried out, the inbound lanes of the Western Freeway from Ferris Road to Hopkins Road will be closed from 5pm on January 9 to 5am on January 12, and from 5pm on January 16 to 5am on January 19.

Drivers travelling to Melbourne are being advised by VicRoads to take the Ferris Road exit, travel along Melton Highway, turn left onto Kings Road and right onto the Calder Freeway.

And those driving to Caroline Springs, Deer Park, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing should  exit at Ferris Road, travel along the Melton Highway, turn right onto Kings Road and continue along Station Road.

For more information, contact VicRoads on 9313 1263.
