Best of Vietnam on your platter

Deer Park residents no longer need to travel outside their suburb for quality Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. Vinh Thuan Restaurant owner and manager Buoi Sieu Trinh says he has brought the cuisine to them.

The family-run, Asian-fusion restaurant opened last December and has been impressing locals with its range of quality Vietnamese and Chinese food.

“Our food is fresh and our meals of the best quality,” Buoi says.

“Our staff speak English and Vietnamese to cater to the diverse community in Deer Park and ensure that communication and engagement with our customers is well executed.”

Vinh Thuan has a range of traditional meals on its menu, from entrées of chicken feet with blackbean sauce or vegetarian rice paper rolls, egg noodle soup with crispy-skin chicken or Vietnamese udon noodle soup with pig’s trotters; to main course stir-fries of seafood in curry sauce or chicken with lemongrass and chilli. Noodle and rice dishes, roast duck or pork are also among mains choices. And various vegetarian meals, including salt and pepper eggplant or Chinese broccoli with Japanese tofu, and Vietnamese coleslaw are also available. Diners who like to try a bit of everything can enjoy a banquet from $20 a person (minimum of four people).

“Diners who are after something a little different are also catered to – our chef creates special dishes to accommodate everyone’s tastes,” Buoi says.

And visitors can’t go without trying the restaurant’s selection of Asian ice-cream for dessert, including green tea, red bean and taro flavours. Or for those after something more familiar, banana and pineapple fritters or fried ice-cream are hard to pass up.

The fully licensed restaurant caters for functions from birthdays to corporate meetings and is the ideal place to celebrate a special occasion.

Or for a quiet night in, why not make the most of its takeaway service.
