Two arrested following Albion armed robbery

Two men have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery in Albion last night.

Police said a 23-year-old man was walking along Selwyn Street about 9.45pm when he was approached by two men.

One of the men allegedly produced a knife and stole the victim’s wallet.

The victim ran home and alerted police. Two men were arrested within 10 minutes of police being alerted and the man’s wallet was found.

Two Sunshine men, aged 21 and 20 have each been charged with armed robbery and assault with a weapon.

They have been remanded to appear at Sunshine Magistrates Court today.
