Brimbank’s Carols at the Castle event promises to be bigger than ever this year.
Brimbank mayor Lucinda Congreve said more food, more songs and a star-studded line-up will be delivered this Sunday at Overnewton Castle.
“Carols at the Castle has always been popular – this year we’ve responded to audience requests for more singalong numbers, so that everyone can join in,” Cr Congreve said.
“We have an impressive line-up of performers, as well as some much-loved Christmas characters, including elves, fairies and – if we’re good – Mr and Mrs Claus.”
This year the event returns to its traditional Sunday evening timeslot and will feature Melbourne singer Rebecca Barnard, former Ferrets frontman Billy Miller, musicians Tamara Murphy, Hugh Harvey and Grant Arthur and children’s performers Carp Productions.
Cr Congreve said the show will also help those who need it most.
“Carols at the Castle is also an important fundraiser – with all money from ticket and merchandise sales going to the Brimbank Community Fund, which supports Brimbank’s most vulnerable,” Cr Congreve said.
Gates open at 5pm.
