Pakenham: Schoolgirl vanishes on way to school

A 15-year-old girl has been reported missing in Pakenham after she vanished on her way to school.

Taylah Tahi, who goes by the nickname “Turtle”, hasn’t been seen since she was dropped off at the Pakenham train station on March 25 in order to catch a bus to school, police said.

She was last seen at 7am at the station, in the city’s outer south-eastern suburbs, but did not turn up at school or have any further contact with her family.

Victoria Police released a public plea for information on Sunday night, nearly five days since she was last seen, due to safety concerns.

“Police and her family are concerned for her welfare as she did not take her phone or money,” said Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach.

The teenage girl, from Pakenham, is described as Caucasian in appearance with long, brown hair. She is around 160cm tall and was wearing a grey jumper with black leggings.

Anyone who have seen the missing teenager is asked to call triple-zero.
