Hunt for Jonathon Dick continues

Homicide Squad detectives are hoping to identify two people captured on CCTV following an assault in Keilor last month and the ongoing search for Jonathan Dick.

Investigators have been told a 38-year-old man was assaulted with a hammer in a residential driveway on Church Street just before 7am on August 23.

The victim sustained a minor laceration to the back of his head and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The offender, who police believe is fugitive Jonathan Dick, was last seen fleeing southbound on foot along Green Gully Road, passing over Meehan Court.

A man on a bicycle who appears to be wearing a red top and blue jeans, along with a white bicycle helmet. is seen riding south of this location along Green Gully Road, Keilor shortly after this last sighting.

At the time of the assault police have been told that Jonathan Dick was wearing a red hooded jumper and blue jeans.

Police said it is unclear if the rider is Jonathan Dick and are appealing for anyone who was riding in the area that morning in similar clothing or anyone who recognises the rider to come forward.

Investigators have also released CCTV and images of the cyclist in the hope that leads to the person being identified.

Detectives also believe Jonathan Dick walked past the same property on the previous morning (August 22) shortly after 6.50am.

He crosses paths with a man dressed in a grey hooded jumper and tracksuit pants who is walking a black dog.

Police are keen to speak to the person walking the dog as they may have information on Jonathon Dick’s movements that morning.

Jonathon Dick, 40, is also wanted in relation to the murder of his brother David in Doncaster on February 3, 2017.

Detectives have released images of Jonathan Dick which are believed to be consistent with his current appearance. in the hope someone can provide information regarding his whereabouts.

He is described as being perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, about 176cm tall with a solid build and mousy brown hair.

Jonathan also has two distinctive tattoos which investigators have released artist generated images of for the first time.

The first tattoo is a Wolverine v Sabre-tooth tattoo on his right thigh extending to his knee, while the second tattoo depicts the character the Incredible Hulk and is believed to be on his left calf.

Police are appealing for Jonathan to hand himself in and urge anyone who sights Jonathan not to approach him but to call triple zero (000) immediately.
