Derrimut driver on drink driving charges

A drunken Derrimut driver will face court after blowing three times the legal limit following a crash near the West Gate Freeway on Thursday afternoon.

A sedan was travelling on the Montague Street off-ramp when it was struck by a truck about 2pm, police say.

A tipper truck with a trailer, which was travelling behind the small truck, then crashed into the two vehicles.

The 55-year-old driver of the tipper truck blew 0.158.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and driving an un-roadworthy vehicle.

His license was also immediately suspended.
