Burnside Kindergarten pupils have been celebrating trees.

Joined by Caroline Springs Bunnings Warehouse staff members, they planted trees on the kinder’s grounds as part of the Planet Art Schools Tree Day campaign.

Caroline Springs Bunnings complex manager Lauren Bottams said the team had a great time helping provide new additions to the kinder.

“This is a great opportunity for us to help out the local community, and it is fantastic to see the students get their hands dirty planting trees for the future,” she said.

St Albans North Preschool kids also enjoyed getting their hands dirty when Taylors Lakes Bunnings team members ventured out to the school and “welcomed winter”.

The children planted winter vegetables and were taught about sustainable gardening.
