The Sunshine Business Association (SBA) has unveiled a new website.
SBA president Carson Luk said the new website gave each of Sunshine’s traders the opportunity to establish an online presence.
“SBA has a long and proud history of representing over 400 businesses with business development, location promotion and community development,” Mr Luk said.
“We continue this with a website initiative aimed at providing marketing and other forms of assistance throughout the Sunshine central business district.
“The main aim of the website is to promote local businesses to the general public and provide a simple way for local businesses, both with and without a web presence, to have a page where their details can be found online.”
It also provides a platform to promote the activities and initiatives of the SBA, Mr Luk said.
The site was launched at an assocation networking event held last month to promote its sustainability campaign.
The SBA plans to become the first shopping precinct to become fully sustainable and organised the event to show businesses how the transformation can be started with small initiatives.
Last month shops in the precinct ditched single-use plastic straws in favour of paper straws to kick-start the campaign.
