Man nabbed drink driving in Derrimut

A Delahey man has been suspended from driving after he returned a breath test more than three times the legal limit in Derrimut last Thursday.

The 25-year-old was intercepted by members of the Heavy Vehicle Unit at a breath test site on Mt Derrimut Road about 7pm.

He tested positive to a preliminary breath test and was subsequently taken back to the station, where he returned an alleged reading of 0.181.

His vehicle was impounded on the spot and his licence was immediately suspended.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving.
