January 11, 1978

Werribee Shire Council has commenced roadworks which are necessary for installation of signals at the intersection of Watton Street/Duncans Road/Station Street. The major feature of these roadworks involves the closure of the western entrance into Station Street adjoining the Werribee Hotel.

January 13, 1988

The Federal and State Governments and the Werribee Council will spend $905,000 in an effort to stop the Werribee River from flooding every three or four years. The Minister for Water Resources Mr Wilkes announced on Thursday that the flood plan was submitted by the State Rural Water Commission to the Federal Government’s Water Resources Assistance Program and grants were approved.
