Sunshine Presbyterian Church’s popular carols service will take centre stage on December 16, with plenty of family entertainment and a nod to the multicultural parish.
Organiser Rachel Griffin said she had been coming to the service since she was a child, and it was always a popular event.
“We usually get over 100 people there, and we think we’ll get similar numbers this year,” Ms Griffin said.
“It all starts with a free barbecue, and we often have meals from all over the world to reflect where our parishioners have come from.
“Then we move into the church for the service and the carols, some old and new carols, and we tell the Christmas story, so it’s a lot of fun for everyone.
“There’s always plenty of kids there so it’s a good family night.”
Ms Griffin said the carols service was one of the highlights of the church year, and encouraged the community to come along.
The event begins at 6pm on December 16, and the carols service begins at 7.30pm.
Sunshine Presbyterian Church is at 120 Anderson Road, Sunshine.
