Two for one booze patrol

Brimbank Police scored a two-for-one deal at a booze bus operation in Sunshine West on Sunday night.

Highway patrol officers were manning the site on Fitzgerald Road about 2am when a Honda Accord was waved in.

Police checked the car and found the driver, a 28-year-old Truganina man, to be disqualified.

He was told that his car was to be impounded so he called a friend for a lift.

A 31-year-old Sunshine West man soon attended the site in a Toyota Rav4 to pick up his mate.

He failed an oral fluid test and was driving while suspended, and his car was also impounded.

Both men are expected to be charged on summons with numerous traffic offences.
